  • Building up stocks and re-housing swarms if required. Check health of hives.

  • Open hive demo/candle making/static display

    Saturday 28th June 2008 at Suzanne Clark's Apiary.

  • Meet at Millbuie.

    Sunday 6th July 2008 at Association Apiary, Minishant.

  • Building up stocks and re-housing swarms if required. Check health of hives.

    • Saturday 12th July 2008 at Joyce Duncan's Apiary.

  • Meet at Sorn Castle

    Saturday 19th July 2008 at Association Apiary, Minishant.

  • Practical demonstration on checking health of hives. Any other work needing done.

    Saturday 2nd August 2008 at Association Apiary, Minishant.

  • Work as required

    Thursday 7th August - Sunday 10th August 2008                 Ayr Flower Show & Competition

  • Open hive demo/candle making/static display/competition

    Saturday 16th August 2008 at Association Apiary, Minishant.

  • Hopefully taking off and extracting honey

    Saturday 23rd August 2008 at Association Apiary, Minishant.

  • Bottling and labelling/feeding colonies/varroa check/getting ready for winter

    Saturday 30th August 2008 at Association Apiary, Minishant.

  • Only if required - dependant on the weather the week before

    Friday 5th September - Sunday 7th September 2008 Scottish National Honey Show - Dundee

    • Anyone interested in beekeeping would be made very welcome.

    While every effort will be made to avoid the possibility of being stung, we cannot guarantee that this will not happen. Anyone with known allergies should seek medical advice prior to attending.

    Any person wishing to attend the above apiary visits who is not a member of the Scottish Beekeeping Association will be required to sign a disclaimer prior to entering any apiary.
