- Introduction to Beekeeping
- Overview of beekeeping equipment and types of bees
- Lifecycle of the honeybee, bumblebee and wasp
- The Beekeeping Year: from swarming to honey harvest
- Extraction, straining, jarring and labelling of honey
- Products of the hive and their medicinal uses, stings,
allergies and bee diseases
Wednesday Evenings at 7.30pm at Belmont Academy,
Nursery Road, Ayr, KA7 2PG
Course fee £50 (includes membership of Ayr & District
Beekeepers' Association for one year and access to the club
apiary and equipment throughout the summer
